Women who have completed having children
Women who have sagging breasts and have lost breast volume
Women in good health who are non-smokers

Your Consultation Visit:

Breast drooping is a condition that is hereditary in some women, but more commonly occurs after pregnancies, weight loss, or aging. The breast skin is stretched larger than it needs to be with the nipple positioned on the lower half of the breast. To achieve fullness on the upper half of the breast some patients will need a breast implant as well as a lift. This combination surgery lists the nipple into the correct position and adds fullness to the breast.

The procedure:

During the procedure excess skin is removed and the surrounding tissue is reshaped to give a more youthful appearance. The nipple is lifted back to a center position on the breast and an implant is added  to round out the upper portion of the breast.

Anesthesia:

This combination procedure is done under general anesthesia and takes 2.5-3 hours to complete. The procedure will be completed here at our fully accredited surgery center.

Recovery:

After surgery, you will be placed in a surgical bra which you will continue to wear to minimize swelling and support your breasts as you heal.  Your recovery nurse will review your post-op instructions with your caregiver while you are in the recovery room.  Medication will keep you comfortable after your surgery. You will return to see me in one week after your surgery and most patients  return to work within a week of surgery.
