Dr. Raja Mohan is a plastic and reconstructive surgeon who specializes in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the face, breast, and body. He has a special interest in facial rejuvenation, body contouring after weight loss, and male aesthetic surgery.
Dr. Mohan’s attention to detail perfectly complements his warm bedside manner. As a part of Accent on You, his main goal is to provide his patients with the highest standard of care.
Dr. Raja Mohan grew up in California and completed his undergraduate studies at Massachusetts Institute of Technology where he earned a Bachelors degree in Mathematics. He first became interested in plastic surgery after shadowing Dr. Gregory Antoine from Boston University during his senior year.
Dr. Mohan then spent time performing scientific research at the National Institute of Health located in Bethesda, MD. He co-authored many scientific articles that appeared prominent journals such as Nature and Neuron. He then attended the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine where he further developed his interest in plastic surgery by being very involved with the division of plastic surgery. He worked with many prominent surgeons in Miami and was an integral part of Project Medishare, a non-profit organization that provides medical relief in Haiti. He also published numerous articles in plastic surgery journals and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society.
Dr. Raja Mohan then matched into the integrated plastic surgery residency at the combined Johns Hopkins/University of Maryland program. This residency program is considered one of the most competitive and renowned programs. Dr. Mohan had the opportunity to work at the world famous R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center. He performed scientific research there on facial transplantation under Dr. Eduardo Rodriguez. Dr. Rodriguez led a team that performed one of the most extensive face transplants. Dr. Mohan had very broad and extensive training in all aspects of aesthetic and reconstructive surgery including microsurgery.
Dr. Mohan wanted to obtain more expertise in aesthetic surgery, so he spent one year at Dallas Plastic Surgery Institute. He trained under world famous surgeons where he exclusively focused on aesthetic surgery. He also developed more knowledge of injectables and non-invasive treatments. He served as a lab instructor at the Dallas Rhinoplasty Symposium.
He has published over 30 scientific articles and book chapters on topics such as breast reconstruction, facial reconstruction, facial rejuvenation, and hand surgery. His articles have been published in journals such as Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA). He has also presented at national meetings on these topics.

Dr. Mohan performs procedures related to the face, breast, and body. These procedures include: facelift, rhinoplasty, blepharoplasty, breast augmentation, mastopexy, tummy-tuck, liposuction, fat transfer, Botox®, and dermal fillers. His goal is to ensure patient safety and comfort to produce the best outcomes for each patient.
