Juvederm in Fort Worth, TX
Dr. Y. Anthony Nakamura, a board-certified plastic surgeon and recognized expert in plastic surgery and body contouring, offers Juvederm® injections to the residents of Arlington, Fort Worth, and the surrounding communities in Texas.
Juvederm® is an injectable filler that consists of hyaluronic acid, a substance that bolsters skin elasticity, and is indicated for the treatment of moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds. Common areas treated with Juvederm® are the folds between the cheeks and nose and the creases that form between your nose and the outer corners of your mouth, often referred to as “marionette lines.” Juvederm® also can be used to enhance lip volume and reshape the cheek contours.
Who Is a Candidate for Juvederm®?
Men and women, age 18 and older, who are in good health and would like to augment their lips or improve the appearance of their facial lines are good candidates for Juvederm®.
Dr. Nakamura and his certified nurse injector will review your medical history, including any allergies you may have and any medications you may take. They will listen to your concerns and aesthetic goals before determining a treatment plan that will best suit your needs. They also will provide you with information about the injections and pricing.
What Can I Expect?
You should expect to rest for the 24 hours following treatment, which means no strenuous exercise, and you also should refrain from sun exposure and drinking alcohol. You may feel tenderness and pain, swelling and bruising, and bumps at the site of injection, though these conditions generally clear up within seven days. An ice pack can be applied for brief periods of time to help reduce swelling.
Though most patients will experience satisfactory results after just one treatment, some may require subsequent treatments to maintain optimal correction of wrinkles and folds.
At Accent On You, we take pride in delivering the utmost quality of care with a personalized approach.
